Vocabulary/ Expressions

Expression Definition
travel (v) to go on a trip or journey : to go to a place and especially one that is far away
e.g. She was traveling to Italy. 
trip (n)  a short journey to a store, business, office, etc., for a particular purpose
e.g. Taking a trip to a new country is a lot of fun. 
tour (n) a journey through the different parts of a country, region, etc.
e.g. They were touring around England. 
scary (adj) causing fear
e.g. Was singing on stage scary
master (v) to learn (something) completely : to get the knowledge and skill that allows you to do, use, or understand (something) very well
e.g. I am mastering the skill of cooking. 
math (n) mathematics, the science of numbers, quantities, and shapes and the relations between them
e.g. Learning math can be difficult. 
scream (v) to suddenly cry out in a loud and high voice because of pain, surprise, etc.
e.g. She was screaming because they surprised her with a party. 
expensive (adj) costing a lot of money
e.g. Buying a house is very expensive
jogging (v) to run slowly especially for exercise
e.g. Jogging is very good for you. 
painful (adj) causing pain to your body, causing emotional pain
e.g. That sunburn looks very painful
