Vocabulary/ Expressions

Expression Definition
dwell (v) to live in a particular place
He’s afraid to enter the cave where the bats dwell.
seize (v) to get or take something in a forceful, sudden or violent way

comfort (v) to cause someone to feel less worried, upset frightened: to give comfort to

catch up with (phrasal verb) to begin to affect someone: to meet with someone

reasoning (n) the process of thinking about something in a logical way in order to form a conclusion or judgment

quirky (adj) unusual, especially in an interesting or appealing way
The odd main characters made it a quirky tv show.
half-full (adj) to an extent that is equal or nearly equal to half of something
After she finished eating, her glass was still half full.
location (n) a place or position
The store location had a lot of traffic.
